Description

The Databases/SQL section provides the pages used to create, configure, analyze, and manage database resources within Enterprise Manager. It includes top-level pages for Databases, SQL/SELECT Connections, Connection Pools, Table Analysis Queue, and Index Builders. Within Databases, additional pages support database settings, metadata definition, connections, SQL access, search, query analysis, tables, procedures, views, types, sequences, remote security, security, and permissions. The pages listed below are part of the Databases/SQL section:

Databases/SQL

  • Databases - Create and manage databases.
    • Settings - Manage database settings and metadata behavior for the selected database.
    • Metadata Definition - Define and manage database metadata categories, properties, and associated definition settings.
    • Connections - Monitor active database client sessions and connection activity in real time.
    • JDBC How-To - Provide required JDBC connection details and sample Java and BBj code.
    • SQL - Execute SQL statements against the selected database and review results.
    • Search - Search database objects using keywords, table filters, and Lucene queries.
    • Query Analysis - Analyze database query patterns and identify indexing opportunities for query optimization.
    • Tables - View and manage tables defined for the selected database.
    • Procedures - Create and manage stored procedures for the selected database.
    • Views - Create, edit, and manage database views and their query definitions.
    • Types - Define and manage database type definitions, formatting, storage behavior, and defaults.
    • Sequences - Create and manage database sequences for generating incremental numeric values.
    • Remote Security - Restrict remote database access using whitelist entries and remote permission policies.
