Description

The Databases Metadata Definition tab presents metadata categories in a hierarchical table with columns for Property, Display Name, Description, Type, Valid Values, Max Value Count, Chooser Type, and Read Only. Selecting an expandable category reveals its nested metadata entries and their associated metadata details.

Note: selecting a database from Databases name list, opens its configuration interface, and enabling access to Metadata Definition.

Toolbar

Button Function
Adds a new property row under the currently selected main property category.

Deletes/Removes selected property.

Refreshes the information.

Metadata Definition: Column Section

The column section lists metadata categories and their associated definition fields, organizing each property’s name, description, type, valid values, limits, chooser type, and read-only status.

Column Settings

Settings Description
Property Organizes metadata categories and nested properties available for the selected database definition.
Display Name The displayed name for the selected property and allows inline editing of the name.
Description The description for the selected property and allows inline editing of the description.
Type The current type assigned to the selected property, clicking the value opens the dropdown list to select a different type.
Valid Values Shows the values assigned to the selected property, clicking the three-dot button opens the Valid Values dialog, where values can be selected and confirmed to appear in the list.
Max Value Count The predefined maximum value count for the selected property; clicking the value allows editing it.
Chooser Type Shows the predefined chooser type for the selected property, clicking the current value opens the dropdown list to select a different chooser type.
Read Only Shows the predefined read-only setting for the selected property, clicking the current value opens the dropdown list to select true or false.
