Grid Tutorial Introduction

Visual PRO/5 grid controls operate in two general ways: standard and data-aware.

• A standard grid is not directly associated with any data source; the contents and actions of this sort of grid are defined by the programmer. • A data-aware grid is linked directly to a database table or a Visual PRO/5 data file; as the user works with the grid control, changes are automatically reflected in the underlying table or file.
