Defining General Data Sources

This section explains how to create general data sources. It describes how to define the general attributes for tables, and columns, and explains how to create table indices. By entering all the necessary information for each table, column, and index, data sources can be created for use with PRO/5, BBxPROGRESSION/ 4, TAOS, and the BASIS ODBC Driver.

To define a data source, first define thetableattributes, then define the required column attributes, and finally define at least one index for MKEYED, DIRECT, C-ISAM, and SORT files.
