ResBuilder has been superseded by the FormBuilder module in the BASIS IDE for BBj. ResBuilder is no longer included in the BBj download package as of version 12.0 but can be downloaded with Visual PRO/5.

The following describes the normal sequence of events for using ResBuilder to create, define, and store resources:

  1. Start ResBuilder.

  2. Create a new file, open an existing .brc, .arc, or .brf resource file.

  3. Create and define forms and child windows.

    (It is possible to set default values for forms, child windows, and images.)

  4. Create and define controls.

  5. Create and define menus.

  6. Create image lists.

  7. Save the file.

  8. Exit ResBuilder.
