Bill of Materials Comments

The Bill of Materials Comments task is accessed from the Display additional options dropdown from the Bill of Materials Masters task in Inquiry and Maintenance.

Function

This option allows entry of up to 99 lines of free-form comments about the bill of materialsClosed A listing of materials, operations, and subcontracts used to describe the manufacture of an item.. Comment Maintenance may be used for entering engineering notes, special handling instructions, and the like.

About the Fields

In the Cmts Line field...

  • Enter comments as needed.

When done making selections...

  • Click save button to save the selections.

  • Click new/clear form button  to clear the form and begin again.

  • Click add new button to add a new Comment line.

  • Click insert new button to insert a new Comment line.

  • Click the Delete current record button delete button to remove a comment line.

Closing an unsaved record will issue the prompt:

Save changes for this record?

  • Select Yes to save the changes.

  • Select No to return to the form.
