Converting Back to Earlier Levels of BASIS Products

If you need to convert programs back to BBxProgression/2, BBxProgression/3, or BBxPROGRESSION/4 from PRO/5, you can use the _bundle utility in PRO/5 to bundle the programs into an ASCII file. This file can then be redirected back into BBxProgression/2, BBxProgression/3, or BBxPROGRESSION/4 to recreate the programs.

You can also use the pro5lst utility (the external lister from PRO/5) and either the BBxcpl program (the external compiler from BBxProgression/3) or the BBx4cpl program (the external compiler from BBxPROGRESSION/4) to list the files to ASCII form on PRO/5 and compile them back to BBxProgression/3 or BBxPROGRESSION/4, respectively. This process can be automated in a program. List the program _p4conv.old to see how this was done for the BBxProgression/2 or BBxProgression/3 to PRO/5 conversion.

For additional information, see pro5cpl and pro5lst.
