PRO/5 Plotters Under MS-DOS and MS-DOS Networks
Plotters are defined through ALIAS lines in the config.bbx file. The items of concern under MS-DOS and MS-DOS Networks are described below in detail below.
Type
If you are on an MS-DOS system console, your plotter type will be one of the following:
doscon |
if this is the console and there are no workstations specifying the console. |
dosshare |
if this is the console and there is a workstation using the console. |
dosplt |
if this is not the console yet you are using a driver. |
MS-DOS Plotter Drivers
The plotter drivers are provided for those printers/plotters which do not have a practical interface using termcap.

Examples
The following entries define five different plot devices. D0, D1, and D2, are all the color monitor. D3 outputs data to a file (the file must already exist, PRO/5 does not create the file), and D4 is an actual plotter. All of these aliases may be assigned for a PRO/5 workstation.
alias D0 /dev/con dosshare mode=16
alias D1 /dev/con dosshare mode=6
alias D2 /dev/con dosshare mode=4
alias D3 c:/docfiles/grf/bbxfile.plt hp7475
alias D4 /dev/com1 hp7475
