resicon.pngResBuilder: Adding Menus to the Menu Bar (Superseded)

ResBuilder has been superseded by the FormBuilder module in the BASIS IDE for BBj. ResBuilder is no longer included in the BBj download package as of version 12.0 but can be downloaded with Visual PRO/5.

To add menus to the menu bar, do the following:

  1. On the left side of the menu bar in the Menu window, a rectangular box serves as a placeholder for the first menu. Click the box to select it, then display the Properties page.

  2. Enter a text string into the Menu text field to set the text that appears on the menu bar.

  3. Enter a text string into the Name field to set the name that appears in the tree view. By default, the Pop-up check field is checked, which allows you to add menu items to the menu. If you do not plan to add menu items to the menu, click the check box to clear it.

  4. To define another menu, click the blank rectangular box that appears to the right of the menu you just defined. Repeat steps 1-3 until you have created the desired number of menus.
