Adding Menu Items to Menus
To define menu items that will appear underneath a menu, do the following:

On the menu bar in the Menu window, click the rectangular box beneath the desired menu.

Enter the following information into the property page:

To define the text that will appear on the menu item, enter a text string into the Menu Text box To include text that identifies the accelerator key (for example Ctrl+X),.type \t and enter the text.

To define the menu item name, enter a text string into the Menu Name box.

To define the menu item ID, enter an integer into the Menu Item ID box.

To include the menu item in a pop-up menu, click the Pop-up box.

To insert a line after the menu item, click the Separator box.

To set the menu item to be initially enabled and checked, click the Check box.

To display a check mark to the left of the menu item to be checked when it is enabled, click the Checkable box.

To define an accelerator key combination for the menu item, click the ellipsis (...) button in the Accelerator Key box to display the Accelerator Key dialog:

To set a Ctrl, Alt, and/or Shift key combination with function or cursor movement keys, do the following: Click the Select from table button, click the desired Ctrl, Alt, and/or Shift check boxes, click the Table box drop down arrow and select the desired key, and click OK. (Clicking Clear removes the setting.)

To set a Ctrl, Alt, and/or Shift key combination with a single, printable character, do the following: Click the User Defined button, click the desired Ctrl, Alt, and/or Shift check boxes, click the User defined field, enter a single key, and click OK. (Clicking Clear removes the setting.)

When you have defined the menu item, click outside the property page. To define another menu item, click the rectangular box beneath the menu item you have just defined.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have created the desired number of menu items.
