DDBuilder has been superseded by the BASIS DBMS Data Dictionary module accessible from the BASIS IDE or the Enterprise Manager. Recommended for usage with ODBC/JDBC access to PRO/5, Visual PRO/5, BBj application data. DDBuilder is no longer included in the BBj download package as of version 12.0 but can be downloaded with Visual PRO/5.

A "form" is a front-end program that can be used by TAOS-developed programs to control most aspects of the user interface. For more information about TAOS forms, see the Introduction to Forms and Form Generator Reference chapters in the TAOSDeveloper's Guide, Volume 2.

To define table form and process attributes (i.e., default form, report options, and open and close process code), do the following:

  1. In the tree view, select the desired table to display the General Table properties page.

  2. Click the Options tab to display the Options properties page.

  3. Enter data into the appropriate fields (each field is described under Fields).

Fields

Form

Provide the path and name of the default TAOS form used by the table. It can use global strings and it must include the file name. If a form name is not entered, the tablename.f(LANGUAGE) default value appears when the data dictionary is saved.

Narrow Report

Enter the program name for an 80-column report of the data in this table.

Wide Report

Enter the program name for an 132-column report of the data in this table.

Open Process

Pre: Provide the TAOS code to be executed before opening the table.

Post: Provide the TAOS code to be executed after opening the table.

Close Process

Pre: Provide the TAOS code to be executed before closing the table.

Post: Provide the TAOS code to be executed after closing the table.
