Deleting Elements from a Data Dictionary

To delete a table, column, index segment, typedef, rule, or view from the data dictionary, do the following:

1. Click the element to be deleted.

2. Do one of the following to delete the element:

   • On the Edit menu, select Delete.

   • Right-click to display the context-sensitive menu, and select Delete.

   • On the toolbar, click the Delete button:

3. The highlighted element is deleted from the list. To retrieve the deleted element, select the Undo/Redo command, as explained in the following paragraph. If the file is saved after an element is deleted, the Undo/Redo command is disabled.
