Stopping and Uninstalling the Data Server - Novell

To stop the Data Server, do the following:

1. Enter the following at the host server console to unload the Data Server NLM:

   unload pro5srv

2. If any connections are currently active, the system will display a message prompting you to confirm confirmation of the unloading process. Unloading while connections are active is likely to cause application errors at workstations that are currently utilizing the Data Server.

Some users have experienced that memory is not returned as clients disconnect, causing memory allocation problems. Uninstalling the Data Server

To uninstall the Data Server, remove the host server directory that contains the Data Server files.
