Shop Floor Control - Work Order Comments

 

Function

The Work Order Comments maintenance is accessed from the Display additional options dropdown of the Work Order Entry task. Work Order Comments are for engineering notes, special handling instructions, etc., with a maximum number of 999 lines of free-form comments about the work order .

 

NOTE: If the Bill of Materials of the product being built contains comments, those comments are copied automatically into the Work Order comments.

 

Work Order Comments Maintenance

 

Add or Edit Work Order Comments

  • Click  to edit the form.

  • Click Run Process button to add an additional requirement to the list.

  • Click Clear Form button to insert a new requirement into the list.

  • Click Clear Form button  to delete the comment record.

In the Cmts/Msg Line field...

  • Enter any comment of up to 60 characters in length.

  • Press [Tab] or [Return]  to move to the next comment line.

When finished making entries to the fields…

  • Click Save button to save the entries.

  • Click Clear Form button to clear entries.

  • Click Delete button to delete the record.
