Sales Order Processing - Sales Tax Service Parameters

Function

The Sales Tax Service Parameters tasks presents a form for entering configuration values necessary to connect to a sales tax service and provides a button to test connection. The Configuration Values are stored encrypted on disk, and can only be viewed via this form (see Barista Administration > Configuration Records, Configuration ID "SLSTAXSVC_AUTH"). Therefore, be sure to set security appropriately. You will need to supply login credentials for any supported sales tax service you choose to use.

Select Sales Tax Service Parameters from the Sales Order Processing Parameters menu.

About the Fields

To enable edits to the form select .

From the Sales Tax Interface dropdown...

Select from the ListButton the sales tax service the configuration parameters are for.

In the Wait Time ( seconds) field...

Display only. Shows the wait time in seconds for an internet connection to respond.

In the Detail Grid...

Display only.

Configuration Value:
- Enter configuration value for the Attribute.
- - server: Server name running the AddonSoftware installation.
  - accountNumber: Your account number with the Sales Tax Service.
  - licenseKey: Your license key with the Sales Tax Service.
  - companyCode: The company code you are using with the Sales Tax Service.
  - testMode:
  - - Enter "true" to use sales tax service test (sandbox) environment.
    - Enter "false" to use sales tax service production (live) environment.
  - loggingStartDate:
  - - Date (YYYY-MM-DD format, or blank) to start client side logging of interactions with sales tax service.
  - loggingEndDate:
  - - Date (YYYY-MM-DD format, or blank) to stop at end-of-day client side logging of interactions with sales tax service.

When finished making entries to the fields...

Click to save the record.

Closing an unsaved record will issue the prompt:

Select [Yes] to save the changes.
Select [No] to return to the form.
