Inventory Control - Price Change by Percentage
Function
Use this task to make percentage price changes to inventory items. Price changes may be made to all items in all warehouses, or to specific items identified by vendor, warehouse, product, and item parameters entered in the above screen. Changes you make reside in a data file and do not take effect until the Price Change Register is run.

About the Fields
In the List Price Code field...

Enter a 2-character price code.
This code is assigned as the current price code in the Item Warehouse Information Record. The former price code and price for this item will be moved to the 'prior' price information fields in the Item Warehouse Information Record.
In the Beginning/Ending Vendor ID field...

Enter the number of the first/last vendor whose items are being changed.

Press [Tab] to select the first/last vendor number record.

Click
to select from a list of vendor numbers.
Note: Each inventory item to be included in this task must have an assigned vendor.
In the Beginning/Ending Warehouse ID field...

Enter the number of the first/last warehouse affected by the change.

Press [Tab] to select the first/last warehouse number record.

to select from a list of warehouse numbers.
In the Beginning/Ending Product Type field...

Enter the type of the first/last product affected by the change.

Press [Tab] to select the first/last product type record.

Click
to select from a list of product types.
Note: Each inventory item to be included in this task must have an assigned product type.
In the Beginning/Ending Inventory Item field...

Enter the number of the first/last item affected by the change.

Press [Tab] to select the first/last item number record.

Click
to select from a list of item numbers.

Enter the item type to include on the report.

Press [Tab] to select all item types.

Click
to select from a list of item types.
In the Percentage Change field...

Enter the percentage by which the price will change.
Percent Change Example
To increase all prices by 10¼%, enter 10.25.
When done making selections...

Click
to calculate new item prices. The system produces the following confirmation indicating the number of records updated.

Click [OK] to close the window.
When the updating process is complete, the system issues the following:
