AddonSoftware Administration - Install Wizard

 

Function

This task creates a new AddonSoftware installation separate from other installations, including the demo installation. Refer to the Installation Guide document for information setting up a new AddonSoftware installation.

 

=> To access this task...

Select Install Wizard from the Install/Upgrade Utilities folder under the Utilities menu.

About the Fields

 

In the New aon Location field...

  • Enter the location of the ‘aon’ directory for the new installation.

In the New Database Name field...

  • Enter the name of database to use for the new installation.

In the New Description field...

  • Enter the name for the installation.

For the Install Type...

  • Selecting Quick Copy (includes demo data)

    • Do NOT use for production installations.

    • Does NOT launch the Setup New Firm form.

  • Selecting Production With Default Data

    • Installs with default parameter and code data only.

    • Does NOT install master files.

    • Launches the Setup New Firm form.

  • Selecting Production Without Data

    • Does NOT install, parameter, code, or master data.

    • Launches the Setup New Firm form.

In the New Firm ID field...

Display only.

 

Install Adon help file checkbox...

  • Mark the box to create a separate copy of Addon’s User Documentation and Help (addonhelp.jar) that can be customized.

When done making selections...

  • Click Run Process button to create the new installation.

  • Click  Clear Form button to clear the form and begin again.
